10 DAYS SAFARI ITINERARY NBI-AMBOSELI-RIFT-MARA-NBI
Day 1:
Arrive Nairobi, the Capital City of Kenya, pass through a Nairobi Hotel for
Breakfast, repack luggage, leave some in storage and only carry what is needed for
Safari. Have Breakfast then depart for Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mt
Kilimanjaro and the home of the African Elephant. Arrive in time for Lunch, have an
afternoon of relaxation then proceed for an evening Game Drive, returning to the
Camp/Lodge for Dinner and overnight.
Day 02:
Have a leisurely Breakfast, then proceed for a whole day Game Drive with
focus from the “Look out Hill” as you enjoy Picnic Lunch. Return to the Camp/Lodge
early afternoon for relaxation, Dinner and overnight.
Day 03:
With bags packed, enjoy a leisurely Breakfast, check out, view Game as you
head back to Nairobi arriving early afternoon, check in, Dinner and overnight.
Day 04:
Wake up to a leisurely Breakfast then proceed South of Nairobi, with a stopover
to view the breathtaking Great Rift Valley Escarpment. Thereafter continue with the
journey arriving at Lake Elementaita in time for Lunch. In the afternoon proceed to the
Hot Springs uphill where they originate and flow down to the Lake. This is a great
therapeutic experience that rejuvenates and refreshes the body naturally. Return to
the Camp/Lodge in time for Dinner and overnight.
Day 05:
Wake up tp a leisurely Breakfast then proceed to a Pre-historic Site/Museum
where you will learn the origins of Mankind and visit a Crocodile Farm nearby. Return to
Camp/Lodge in time for Lunch. Have an afternoon of relaxation, then take an early
evening walk to the Lake to see the world famous pink Flamingoes, Pelicans and a
myriad species of birds as you watch the African Sunset go down. Return to the
Camp/Lodge in time for Dinner and overnight.
Day 06:
With bags packed, have an early breakfast, check-out and depart for Masaai
Mara, the 8 th Wonder of the World, through the foot of the Rift Valley. This Park offers
wonderful scenery and plenty of game viewing. It is perhaps the only region remaining
in Kenya where the Visitor can see animals in the same abundance and variety as
existed a century ago. Here among the grassy plains and lush landscape, you'll find
Lions, Cheetahs, Buffaloes, Elephants, Giraffees, and abundant bird life such as
Ostriches, Cranes and Storks.
Every year, between July and September, millions of Wildebeests and Zebras migrate
into the Mara in search of water. The timing of this phenomenon varies, depending on
the rains, but they usually start heading back to the Serengeti in October. Whether you
see the migration or not, the Mara almost guarantees you'll enjoy a magnificent time in
Kenya.You will arrive in time for Lunch at your Camp/Lodge, relax until evening then proceed for the first Game Drive through this haven of wildlife, lasting until sunset,
returning for Dinner & Overnight.
Day 07:
After Breakfast continue your discovery of the many species of game in the
Park the whole day with Lunch in the fast Savannah. During the Game Drives, you will
see a variety of Antelopes, including Wildebeest, Thompsons, and Grant Gazelles. The
Big Five are found in the Masaai Mara as well as Cheetahs, Bat-eared Foxes and many
other varieties of wildlife. Return to the Camp/Lodge in time for Dinner and overnight.
After Lunch you will have the opportunity to visit a Masaai Village for an in-depth look at
this colorful and pastoral people in their natural setting, returning to the Camp/Lodge in
time for Dinner and overnight
Day 08:
After a leisurely breakfast, check out, enjoy the last morning of the 08 th Wonder
of the World Adventure as you depart for Nairobi, arriving late afternoon, check in,
freshen up, Dinner and overnight.
Day 09:
After a good rest and a leisurely breakfast, begin Nairobi City Tour mid morning,
then proceed to The Giraffe Center, established to protect the endangered Rothschild
Giraffe. There are also several warthogs which roam freely with the Giraffes. Guests are
permitted to feed the Giraffes from a raised feeding platform. Continue your tour at the
Karen Blixen Museum. Prior to opening as a Museum in 1991, the House and its
surrounding 4500 acre farm were owned by "Out of Africa" Author Karen Blixen from
1917 till 1931. End the day at the Kazuri Bead factory. Kazuri, which means "small and
beautiful" in Swahili, began in 1975 as a tiny workshop experimenting in making
handmade beads. The factory is located in what used to be part of the Karen Blixen
Estate. Its founder, Lady Susan Wood, started with two Kenyan Women and soon
discovered that there were many other women in the villages around Nairobi, most of
whom were single mothers, who were in great need of regular employment Return to
the Hotel early evening.
Day 10:
Have Breakfast, then proceed for Shopping, packing, check out, then proceed to
JKIA for your departure flight back home.
